ICE’s commitment towards a sustainable future

ICE is committed to building an event that has a positive social and environmental impact, today and for the future.

We run a range of initiatives that aim to minimise the environmental impact of the event itself, as well as encourage exhibitors to reduce the environmental impact of their stand constructions. 

Through these initiatives, we aim not only to promote social and environmental responsibility in the gaming community but also to be part of the change. 

Our sustainability initiatives:

A blue square with green and orange check marksAI-generated content may be incorrect.Waste reduction: We work with suppliers and exhibitors to minimise waste from all aspects of the event. In 2025, 47% of the waste generated from ICE 2025 was recycled.

Better Stands Initiative: ICE is part of a global programme designed to reduce waste in the exhibition industry by encouraging the use of reusable exhibition stands.

Eco-friendly badge wallets: New for 2026, ICE has swapped its plastic badge holders for eco-friendly badge wallets

The initiative provides a framework for assessing and certifying stand sustainability with Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels awarded based on reusability

All space only stands at ICE 2026 will be assessed.

How will you be assessed?

Fill in the Better Stands Survey HERE.

The form needs to be completed before the start of the show - 19th January 2026

How will the information you provide be verified? 

During the build-up of ICE in January 2026, a Better Stands assessor will visit your stand to validate the information provided in your Better Stands Self Assessment Survey.  

After the event, you will be awarded a Bronze, Silver or Gold Better Stands Certificate.
