ICE’s commitment towards a sustainable future
ICE 2026 was committed to building an event with a positive social and environmental impact. We ran a range of initiatives to minimise the environmental footprint of the event and encourage exhibitors to reduce the impact of their stand constructions.
Through these initiatives, ICE aimed to promote social and environmental responsibility within the gaming community and contribute to meaningful change.
Key sustainability initiatives at ICE 2026 included:
Waste reduction: Suppliers and exhibitors worked together to minimise waste from all aspects of the event. In 2025, 47% of the waste generated at ICE was recycled.
Better Stands Initiative: ICE participated in a global programme designed to reduce waste in the exhibition industry by encouraging the use of reusable exhibition stands. All “space only” stands at ICE 2026 were assessed, with Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels awarded based on reusability.
Eco-friendly badge wallets: New for 2026, ICE replaced plastic badge holders with eco-friendly badge wallets.
These measures provided a framework for assessing and certifying stand sustainability while reinforcing ICE’s long-term commitment to a greener, more responsible event.
