Clarion Gaming Code of Conduct

Providing a safe and appropriate working environment for everyone

Clarion Gaming commits to provide a safe, respectful, ethical and appropriate working environment for everyone, including staff, exhibitors, customers and suppliers, which is not discriminatory towards, or offensive to, individuals or groups for reasons of age, disability, sexual orientation, class, ethnicity, race, colour, faith, marital status or gender.

Dress Code: stand staff

  • This dress code applies to “stand staff”, who are defined as staff of any gender used by exhibitors or sponsors to promote their products or services at an event.
  • Partial or total nudity or overtly sexual or suggestive clothing or marketing methods (including for example, in the case of female stand staff, the overt display of cleavage or navel) will not be allowed.
  • At the discretion of Clarion Gaming, the sole possible exception to this rule may be promotional characters that are seen “in-game” but exhibitors must obtain permission in this respect from Clarion Gaming show management prior to commencement of the show.
  • If, for any reason, stand staff and/or an exhibit and/or its contents are deemed inappropriate by Clarion Gaming show management, the exhibitor will be asked to alter the attire of its stand staff and/or the exhibit and/or its contents.
  • The decision of Clarion Gaming show management in each of the above respects will be final.

Unacceptable Behavior
All who participate in any Clarion event deserve respectful treatment, regardless of the capacity in which they are attending or participating. Unacceptable behaviors include, but are not limited to, the following: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any attendee, speaker, partner, exhibitor, or volunteer of the event or related event activities. Clarion prohibits any and all offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, national origin, gender identity, or disability; use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or unwelcome following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; unwelcome physical contact or attention. Attendees often combine professional activities with social interaction, and while Clarion shows encourages such networking and strengthening of connections between participants, all Clarion shows reserves the right to remove anyone who appears inebriated and who engages in conduct that interferes with the ability of other attendees and/or exhibitors to participate in and enjoy the event, and anyone whose social attentions become unwelcome toward a staff member, attendee, exhibitor, or any other person associated with the event. Event participants are not permitted to bring firearms to the event.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at the events whether by attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, exhibitors, or anyone else even remotely related to the event. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. Any Clarion show, at its discretion, may remove and bar those who violate this Code from continued attendance or participation in some or all of the events in its sole and absolute discretion, without refund of any fees paid, and may bar violators of this Code from attendance or participation of any future Clarion events in its sole and absolute discretion. This code provides general guidelines and cannot cover every possible type of unacceptable behavior. Any Clarion show  reserves the right to apply corrective action to instances other than the specific examples noted.

This Code of Conduct may be modified at any time and for any reason.
