Deputy Director, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS)
Sarah has led the Gambling and Lotteries team at DCMS for nearly two years and her remit covers the gambling white paper and its implementation, the transition to the 4th National Lottery Licence and policy oversight for areas such as society lotteries and horse racing. She has over 21 years experience in the civil service which includes operational, strategic and policy roles in the Home Office, DHSC, Cabinet Office, DHLUC and DCMS. At a senior level, Sarah has delivered major reforms to local planning policy and local public service transformation, as well as restructuring DCMS during the pandemic, securing long term funding for the departments workforce and oversight of the departments legislative priorities. Sarah is also the senior champion on disability in DCMS - supporting the staff network and using her own experiences to improve the disability confidence of the organisation.
