Mr Martens heads the ‘Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions’. Through this Unit, the International Olympic Committee is strengthening its initiatives under the ‘3 Pillar Strategy’ – Regulations, Education, and Intelligence. The Unit works specifically for the Olympic Movement stakeholders and engages all of them continuously in the fight against match-fixing – which means not only during the Olympic Games but throughout the whole Olympic cycle, specifically IFs, NOCs and multi-sport event organizers at major events, continental Games and all Olympic Qualifiers.
