Francesco Rodano, Chief Policy Officer at Playtech, has led the company's global public affairs initiatives for 5 years and now spearheads the Responsible Gaming activities for the company. A key initiative for Francesco is to identify and support at-risk players, utilising products such as Playtech Protect, a division dedicated to advancing safer gambling technology which has been focused on pioneering the integration of AI and innovative player interventions. 
 
Prior to Playtech, Rodano reformed the Italian regulatory framework and oversaw the introduction of a comprehensive range of regulated online products, including poker in 2008 and casino games in 2011, attracting more than 100 licensees to the market. During his tenure, Francesco contributed to shaping comprehensive regulations that led Italy to become the world's second-largest regulated online gambling market. This regulatory framework has gained international recognition as a best practice, influencing policy-making processes across Europe, and informing global gambling regulatory initiatives. 
 
Beyond his regulatory role, Francesco's career has encompassed diverse experiences in B2B marketing roles, including at Europe’s largest cultural centre. He received recognition as Regulator of the Year by the International Masters of Gaming Law and was honoured among the 100 Most Influential People of the Last Ten Years, and Hot 50 – The Most Talented People in Online Gaming by respected industry publications.
