Elaine McDougall is the Vice-President, Marketing and Communications at the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) where she leads the organization’s brand strategy, government relations and consumer prevention education strategy. Elaine is a visionary leader with over twenty years of experience working in communications. Throughout this time, she has focused her efforts on the gambling sector and in particular advocating for and implementing prevention programs that support the overall health and well-being of players and communities.
Under Elaine’s leadership, RGC has received numerous marketing and responsible gambling awards for programs designed to support the well-being of youth, young adults and priority ethnocultural populations. Prior to RGC, Elaine was a senior leader at one of Canada’s top advertising agencies where she led the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) business and developed strategies and campaigns across slots and casinos, bingo, lottery, horse racing and responsible gambling portfolios. In this position, Elaine led the strategic development and launch of the award-winning OLG-responsible gambling brand PlaySmart.
