Alcohol Abuse + Drugs

The abuse of alcohol, drugs and other substances can affect work performance and safety. Any person found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances, or who are (in the opinion of the organiser's and their representatives) constituting danger to themselves or any other person at the venue, will be removed from the venue by security. Where necessary, further action will be taken to remedy the situation. The consumption of alcohol is permitted onsite only during the show open period, not during the build-up/breakdown.

Smoking + Vaping

Smoking, E-cigarettes and Vaping are strictly not permitted in any part of the venue, including on the lorry ways. Please exit the venue and use the dedicated smoking areas provided at the East and West Entrances.

Please Note: If you are planning on providing e-cig/vaping products as promotional giveaways to visitors on your stand then we ask you to ensure that you declare this factor on the Special Activities Form. 

PPE

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for the job being carried out. You MUST wear high visibility jackets and steel toe shoes; you will NOT be allowed onsite without this. Other forms of PPE such as hard hats, eye protection, gloves, etc. must be worn if required when performing a specific task. ExCeL has a Business Centre location downstairs between entrance N4 and S4 on the boulevard that sells such items.

Late Working

The hours published is the maximum time available to construct your stand. We do not promote long working days - it is your responsibility to ensure your project is suitably staffed and safe working practices are followed

  • All contractors are granted free late working from 20:00 to 22:00 on Friday and Saturday.
  • Please note exhibitor services (e.g. rigging and electrics) will not be available during these hours.
  • Late working is strongly discouraged however if you need to work outside of the timings due to unforeseen circumstances, you must seek approval and additional charges will be incurred (see below).

Lost + Stolen Goods

Please report any lost property or theft immediately to the organiser, or security, who will advise you of the appropriate course of action.

All lost property will be handed into the organiser office, or to security.  If any items are left on your stand, please deliver it to the organiser’s office or security. Any lost property will be disposed of if not claimed after 3 months.

Travel + Accommodation

Public Transport:

DLR: The nearest station to the east entrance of ExCeL, where ICE London 2024 will be held, is Custom House. All DLR trains heading towards Custom House Station (Excel West Entrance).

Elizabeth Line: The newly operational Elizabeth Line is the quickest way to reach Excel London's West Entrance, through the Custom House station. All trains bound for Abbey Wood will halt at Custom House station. All three of these routes are both rapid and frequent. The DLR and Elizabeth Line run 12 trains per hour. ExCeL London falls within Zone 3. For the Tube Map, kindly refer to this link.

Air Travel: The closest airport to ExCeL London is London City Airport, a mere 5-minute drive away. This airport links to more than 30 cities across various continents, making it an excellent option for traveling to the exhibition. London boasts six international airports: Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick, City, Luton, and Southend, all conveniently reachable from the venue via public transportation.
