The Next Wave of Threats: AI, Bots, DDS Attacks and Transaction-Stage Manipulation

21 Jan 2026
CC4.1
Cybercrime & Fraud Workshop

The modern threat surface extends beyond onboarding — fraudsters now target the transaction layer itself. AI-enhanced bots simulate thousands of simultaneous players, manipulate bonus triggers, and flood systems with DDS-style traffic designed to mask financial fraud in plain sight. These DDS-style “noise” attacks are being used to distract compliance and payment-monitoring systems during active theft or laundering. At the same time, affiliate and ad-traffic fraud has exploded, with botnets driving millions of fake sessions to inflate performance metrics. Learn how to detect transaction-stage anomalies using real-time data streaming, behavioural analytics, and traffic fingerprinting. The session also explores the rising cost of multi-jurisdictional compliance, and how the forthcoming EU Cyber Resilience Act will reshape how operators design, test, and report security for connected products and platforms.
