Moritz Maurer is the Founder and CEO of GRID, the data technology platform powering the games industry with infrastructure for data collection, management, and distribution across betting operators, media companies, and rights holders. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of esports, data, and betting, Moritz has been a key advocate for the use of official, rightsholder-sourced data to drive growth and innovation in the ecosystem.

Moritz began his esports betting career by founding GGwins, the first esports-exclusive sportsbook licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. After its acquisition by Genius Sports in 2015, he served as the company’s first Head of Esports, leading its market entry and developing betting solutions grounded in integrity.

At GRID, he’s built exclusive partnerships with top rightsholders—including Riot Games, ESL FACEIT Group, BLAST, Ubisoft, Krafton, and others—introducing official data to the betting market. Under his leadership, GRID has become the only company working directly with game developers and tournament organizers, offering products like real-time data feeds, AI-powered analytics, and modular tools for bookmakers, media, and developers.
