Gary Peck
Gary Peck is the Vice President of Regulatory Services for Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC). He is responsible for all provincially regulated gaming, liquor and cannabis activities throughout the province.
The Regulatory Services Division has over 250 staff in offices throughout Alberta responsible for licensing, inspections, background checks, audit, mandatory staff training programs, and criminal/provincial investigations with respect to illegal gaming, tobacco, liquor and cannabis retailer offences.
Prior to joining AGLC, Mr. Peck had a 30-year career as a police officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). During his time with RCMP he served in Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Alberta. In Alberta he was the Human Resource Officer for the Province responsible for all Staffing, Recruiting and Training. He also served three years as the Assistant Director at the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team or ALERT in their fight against serious and organized crime. His final posting was the Officer in Charge of Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services. Since joining the AGLC in 2016 as the Senior Manager of Investigations, he also took on the similar role in the AGLC’s Anti Money Laundering Unit. Mr Peck was the Director of Investigations for the AGLC prior to taking on the VP role.
