Alejandro H Tengco
Alejandro H. Tengco has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) since August 2022. Before his appointment to government service, he was President and CEO of Nationstar Development Corporation, a construction firm known for landmark projects such as the renovation of the National Museum of Natural History. He also held senior leadership roles in the food and real estate industries and previously led the Government Affairs Group at the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company.
A product of Jesuit education, Chairman Tengco attended Ateneo de Manila University from grade school through postgraduate studies. He earned his degree in Business Management in 1982 and pursued law at Ateneo Law School until 1984.
Since assuming leadership of PAGCOR, Chairman Tengco has spearheaded transformative reforms to modernize the gaming industry, strengthen transparency, and boost revenue generation. Under his stewardship, PAGCOR has been repositioned as a key driver of national development and an increasingly attractive destination for global investment.
