COVID 19

What's the latest on COVID 19?

At ICE your safety is our number one priority.

Clarion Events has collaborated on drafting the All Secure Standard; a standardised approach to biosecurity adopted across the UK events industry and ratified by the UK government.

We aim to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 by following the 4-cornerstone framework detailed in the All Secure Standard:

Risk Assessment – We will assess the prevalence of COVID-19 via the recommended Government Guidance alert levels before assessing each element of the event and implementing appropriate measures to eliminate or reduce the likelihood of transmission.

Entry Control – When attending ICE London you may be asked to demonstrate a full vaccination record or recent negative test result taken within the past 48 hours (unless exempt). This allows us to reduce the likelihood of the virus being present at the show.

Cleaning, Hygiene & Ventilation – A more regular and deep cleaning regime, the provision of sanitising stations, ensuring adequate ventilation and the wearing of PPE (personal protection equipment) where appropriate means we reduce the likelihood of the virus being spread.

Communication & Training – It is important that we continue to communicate all the relevant information on biosecurity measures with our audience. Our exhibitors and guests will be told what considerations they need to make to help us keep the event safe. And of course, onsite we will take steps to further protect people by providing things like signage reminding our guests of the basics; regular hand washing, making extra space and covering coughs and sneezes.

Our exhibitors will also be required to undertake a COVID-19 risk assessment for their participation. This provides an extra level of protection when you visit their stands. Exhibitors will be asked to consider their specific stand activities and how measures can be put in place to eliminate or reduce transmission of the virus. These are likely to be frequent and focussed cleaning regimes, provide hand sanitiser, provide screens or PPE for staff (where appropriate), and brief their staff on how to operate safely. If you are an exhibitor, you will find more detailed guidance published in our Ezone.

Do I have to wear a face-covering at ICE 2024?

Face coverings, such as masks, are not currently mandatory at ICE however you are welcome to wear one if you choose to do so.

For anyone wishing to wear a face covering - these will be available from the Information Points.
