Clarion Gaming is building an infrastructure of new and expanded show floor features to add to the experience for the 55,000+ visitors expected at January’s editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate, the first to be held in Barcelona.
Making full use of the additional space at the Gran Via Fira de Barcelona, show organisers have confirmed the creation of the first Global Media City as well as a dedicated home for the industry’s leading trade associations and strategic bodies.
Announcing details of the features Managing Director, Stuart Hunter said: “ICE is the most influential gambling technology show in the world and alongside an exhibitor line-up which includes the very best games creators and innovators we are creating an infrastructure of features and facilities to meet the business needs of what will be the world’s biggest ever gathering of gambling industry professionals on record.
“The success enjoyed by ICE owes much to the support from the gambling industry media and I am delighted that the Global Media City will provide a world class platform for this important part of the ICE community and an opportunity for the industry to access journalists and publishers.”
Addressing the second new feature, Hunter stated: “Each year ICE hosts the industry’s most influential trade associations and strategic bodies, many of which use the show to make policy announcements and in the process to help shape the future of the business.
“Whilst most of these activities take place off the show floor, at ICE 2025 there will also be a dedicated space for industry associations to meet, promote their values and create new opportunities for the gaming community across every sector and geography.”
He added: “An important part of the rationale for relocating to the Gran Via Fira de Barcelona was the opportunity it provides to scale the offering. The Global Media City and the Association Assembly are the first two additions to the show experience that we are delighted to confirm.”
January’s editions of ICE and iGB Affiliate will occupy 120,000sqm of space compared to the 100,00sqm at ICE 2024. In a major endorsement of the opportunities offered by the relocation to Barcelona 72% of the 25 biggest exhibitors will have an increased stand presence at ICE 2025.
